Adam Liška commits to Rangers
Kitchener, ON – The Kitchener Rangers announced today that forward Adam Liška has committed to an Ontario Hockey League standard player agreement with the Club.
The first-round, 29th selection in the 2017 CHL Import Draft was a member of Orange HK 20 in 2016-17. He tallied 13 goals and 29 points with a plus/minus rating of +11 in 23 regular season games played with Team Slovakia U18 last season. While dressing for three teams in U-20 competition (Team Slovakia U20, Team Slovakia2 U20, HC Slovan Bratislava U20) he notched six points in 20 regular season contests while adding six goals and 18 points in 11 playoff games.
In IIHF World U-18 Championship competition last season he was an alternate captain for Team Slovakia, registering two goals and six points in five tournament games. He also skated for Slovakia in last year’s U-18 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, scoring once and finishing at a point-per-game pace with four points.
“We’re very excited to have Adam join the Rangers,” said Kitchener general manager Mike McKenzie. “Adam is a hardworking, offensive player and showed that at the Under-18 Championships by leading Team Slovakia in tournament scoring.
“We look forward to seeing Adam continue his hockey development here in Kitchener.”
