Niagara IceDogs owners Bill and Denise Burke met Stephen Harper, Prime Minster of Canada, yesterday afternoon ahead of last night's game four.

The couple were accompanied by St. Catharines MP Rick Dykstra and had a meet and greet prior to the IceDogs 5-2 win over the Ottawa 67's.

Stephen Harper wrote a message of good luck on a photo of the team and that hung in the Ice Dog's dressing room during the victory.

The Burkes presented him with a jersey and two books on local hockey history.

Niagara currently leads the OHL Eastern Conference final against the 67’s, three games to one and will return home for game five Friday night.
