Sarnia, ON – Sarnia Sting Head Coach and General Manager Jacques Beaulieu announced today that the hockey club has signed goaltender Brodie Barrick to an OHL Contract and Education Package.
Beaulieu had the following comment on the signing
“Brodie has been very good at every Sting camp he has attended since being drafted two years ago. Nick Sinclair our Director of Player Personnel watched Brodie play on several occasions last season and had positive reports on him.”
With the signing of Barrick the Sting are looking to build some depth at the position.
“We are hopeful that we have JP Anderson back next season but his status is uncertain. He will be an overage goalie who has already signed a pro contract. Signing another goaltender to go along with JP and Brandon Hope will give us depth and flexibility at the position.”
Barrick the Sting’s 7th round pick in 2010, played last season for Carleton Place in the CCHL.
