Dalton Smith Signs with Columbus

 

August 8, 2011 (Columbus, OH): The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed Ottawa 67’s power-forward Dalton Smith to a three-year entry-level contract.  19-year old Smith was the Blue Jackets 2nd draft pick (34th overall) in 2010.  He’ll will take part in the 67’s training camp during the last week of August and then head-off to the Jackets camp.  As a 19-year old, Smith will have the chance to make their NHL roster or he will play with the 67’s during the coming season.
