Friday night's games were low scoring, tight checking affairs. The London Knights were hoping to take the series lead at home. The Knights got off to a quick start with Seth Griffith's goal less than three minutes into the game. Both goalies would make numerous huge saves keeping the score the same until Saginaw's Brandon Archibald's seeing eye shot made it through a mess of legs to tie the score 1-1 early in the third. Five minutes into overtime Namestnikov walked out from the corner picked up his own rebound and buried it to take a 3-2 series lead. Watch the highlights
The Ottawa 67's were facing elimination at home to the Barrie Colts. Cody Ceci opened the scoring with a slap shot that beat Niederberger in the 8 minutes into the second period. Daniel Erlich tied things up 10 minutes later and Tyler Toffoli picked up a loose puck at the side of the net with nine seconds to go in the second to put the 67' ahead for good. Petr Mrazek stopped 31 of 32 shots for the win and Niederberger stopped 43 of 45 in the loss. Game six goes Sunday. Watch the highlights
