IceDogs’ Jones signs with Golden Knights

 

VEGAS – Vegas Golden Knights General Manager George McPhee announced Friday that the team has signed forward Ben Jones to a  three-year entry level contract.

Jones was selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the seventh round (189th overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He appeared in 68 games with the Ontario Hockey League’s Niagara IceDogs, finishing with 79 points (30 G, 49 A) during the 2017-18 regular season. He also had 12 points (5 G, 7 A) in 10 games for the IceDogs during the OHL Playoffs this season.

Jones was signed to a three-year deal by the club along with Regina Pats forward Jake Leschyshyn and 22-year-old Kelowna Rockets graduate Gage Quinney who inked a two-year contract.
