ST. LOUIS РThe St. Louis Blues announced Thursday that the club has signed 2017 first round (20th overall) draft selection Robert Thomas, to a three-year entry-level contract.

The 18-year-old from Aurora, Ont. has played in four preseason games for the Blues this season, scoring two goals. One of the goals was a game-winner.

The former Mastercard Memorial Cup champion spent his second OHL season with the London Knights last year, recording 16 goals and 50 assists (66 points) in 66 games.

The Blues returned Thomas to the Knights earlier this week. He’s expected to suit up in action this coming weekend when London hosts the Kingston Frontenacs on Friday and visits the Oshawa Generals on Sunday night.
