Liam Van Loon commits to Bulldogs


HAMILTON, ON – Hamilton Bulldogs President and General Manager Steve Staios announced today that the team has received a commitment from Liam Van Loon, who has agreed to an Ontario Hockey League standard player agreement with the club.

Van Loon, a 5’11 and 175-pound left-winger was selected by the Bulldogs in the 3rd round (50th overall) in the 2017 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.

“It’s a dream come true. Not only to be signed by an OHL team, but to be part of the best organization in the league,” said Van Loon. “I can’t wait to get started and do everything I can to help the Bulldogs reach their goal of winning a Memorial Cup”.

The London, ON native played last season with the London Jr. Knights Minor Midgets AAA where he scored 15 goals and added 19 assists for 34 points in 32 games.

“We are thrilled to have received a commitment from Liam to the Hamilton Bulldogs,” said Staios. “Liam is a high character player with great energy and skill”.
