Liam Whittaker commits to Knights

London Knights

London, ON – London Knights General Manager Rob Simpson is proud to announce that the team has signed defenseman, Liam Whittaker, to an OHL Standard Player Agreement.

Whittaker, a native of Holland Landing, was drafted by the Knights in the fifth round, 99th overall, in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.  The 179-pound, 2001-born defenseman spent last season with the York Simcoe Express Minor Midget AAA team where he scored eight goals, and a total of 28 points in 34 games played.

This will be the second member of the Whittaker family to currently be a part of the Knights franchise.  Liam’s older brother, Richard, born in 2000, signed with the team last offseason.

The younger Whittaker, Liam, will report to the Strathroy Rockets of the GOJHL for the upcoming year.
