Mack Guzda commits to Attack

Owen Sound, ON – The Owen Sound Attack have announced the commitment of goaltender Mack Guzda, the 31st overall pick in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection, signed to an OHL Standard Player Agreement.

A 6’4” netminder born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Guzda is a dual citizen who recently skated at Hockey Canada’s Summer Showcase as part of the Under-17 Development Camp.

In 11 games last year with the Detroit Honeybaked Under-16 squad, Guzda posted a 1.49 goals against average along with a .918 save percentage. At Hockey Canada’s camp, the goaltender skated in two games, allowing 2.79 goals against to go with a .911 save percentage.

“We’re very excited to be able to bring Mack into the fold,” said Attack General Manager Dale DeGray.

“He’s a tremendous young goaltender that we feel has the ability to be a real game changer in this league. We’re looking forward to seeing what he can do at Camp next week and moving forward.”
