Mackenzie Savard commits to Wolves
Sudbury Wolves

SUDBURY, ON – General Manager Barclay Branch announced Tuesday that the Sudbury Wolves signed goaltender Mackenzie Savard to an OHL  Standard Player Agreement. The Dowling native has served as a call-up for the Wolves for the past season and has joined the Wolves in practice on several occasions.

Savard was traded from the Rayside Balfour Canadians earlier this season to the Caledonia Corvairs, where he posted a 2.21 GAA and a .915 save percentage through 12 games.

“We’re very pleased to be adding to our goaltending depth with an excellent young man like Mackenzie,” said Branch.

The Wolves host three games at home this week beginning Wednesday night when the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds come to town at 7:00pm for Game 3 of the Bell Challenge Cup.
