Milestone Moments: December 31, 2018


Nineteen-year-old defenceman Ryan Wells scored the first two goals of his OHL career on New Year’s Eve in Windsor, helping power the Mississauga Steelheads to a 9-5 road win. The Mississauga, Ont. native gave his club a 2-0 lead 3:37 into the first period before adding as his second of the game with 5:27 left in the second. A former 15th round pick by the Trout in 2015, Wells is a graduate of the Mississauga Reps Minor Midget program. His first two OHL goals came in his 63rd career regular season contest.
