Luke Richardson’s first OHL shutout didn’t come easy. The 18-year-old made 43 saves against a red hot Barrie Colts squad, backstopping the Kitchener Rangers to a 3-0 home ice win for their fifth straight victory. The Barrie, Ont. native has played in 29 games this season, going 18-8-1-0 with a 3.12 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage or the Midwest Division-leading Rangers. Richardson was Kitchener’s fourth round pick in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection from the North Central Predators Minor Midgets.
