Milestone Moments: Jan. 6/18

In a special edition of Milestone Moments, Owen Sound Attack goaltender Olivier Lafreniere stopped all 28 shots he faced on Saturday, guiding his club to a 7-0 win over the visiting Kitchener Rangers. Unfortunately, Lafreniere was forced to leave the game with an injury with 31 seconds remaining in the third period as Mack Guzda took over. Though an unofficial shutout for Lafreniere statistically, he earned first star honours for his efforts and helped the Attack snap a seven-game slide on Sportsnet’s CHL Saturday Showcase. A 19-year-old native of Bradford, Ont., Lafreniere was Ottawa’s third round pick in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection from the York-Simcoe Express Minor Midgets.
