Big 17-year-old forward Mitchell Hewitson cleaned up a loose puck in the slot on Sunday, helping the Oshawa Generals double-up the Sudbury Wolves 4-2 with his first career OHL goal. The 6-foot-5, 220Ib. winger scored 8:02 into the second period to knot the score at two, getting assists from Nico Gross and Cole Resnick. A native of Milton, Ont., Hewitson was Oshawa’s seventh round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection from the Halton Hurricanes Minor Midgets. He has a goal in 27 games this season.
