Milestone Moments: Oct. 8/17

Sixteen-year-old Ottawa 67’s defenceman Nikita Okhotyuk had a night to remember on Sunday, scoring the overtime winner to give his club a 4-3 win over the visiting Flint Firebirds. Okhotyuk finished off a great effort by San Jose Sharks prospect Sasha Chmelevski, lighting the lamp with 15 seconds remaining in the extra frame. A 6-foot-1, 189Ib. left-handed shot, Okhotyuk was Ottawa’s first round (16th overall) pick in the 2017 CHL Import Draft. He’s eligible for the 2018 NHL Draft next summer.
