Milestone Moments: October 14, 2018

He’s scored in the WHL before, but Boston Bruins prospect Daniel Bukac found the back of the net for the first time in his OHL career on Sunday. The 6-foot-6, 210Ib. Czech defenceman opened the scoring in Niagara’s 5-1 road win over Sudbury, getting assists from Kyen Sopa and Ivan Lodnia. The 19-year-old joined the IceDogs through this past summer’s CHL Import Draft and has a pair of points and a plus-8 rating through nine games this season. Bukac spent parts of two seasons with the Brandon Wheat Kings from 2016-18 and represented the Czech Republic at the 2017 World Under-18 Hockey Championship. He was Boston’s seventh round pick in 2017.
