Milestone Moments: October 7, 2018

TYSON FOERSTER (BARRIE COLTS):
Barrie Colts rookie Tyson Foerster got his┬ástick on a Tyler Tucker point shot, tipping it past Kingston’s Ryan Dugas five minutes into the first period. The Colts went on to defeat the Frontenacs 4-2 and the 16-year-old Foerster had an afternoon to remember. The Alliston, Ont. native was Barrie’s third round pick in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection from the Barrie Colts Minor Midgets. He has three points (1-2–3) through his first six games.

LIAM VAN LOON (HAMILTON BULLDOGS):
Hamilton Bulldogs forward Liam Van Loon beat defending OHL Goaltender of the Year Michael DiPietro with a quick move to the backhand, scoring his first career OHL goal breaking in off the wing with seven minutes to go in the first period. The Bulldogs took a 5-2 road win in Windsor, and Van Loon, who was last year’s GOJHL Rookie of the Year, contributed in the effort. The 17-year-old native of London, Ont. was Hamilton’s third round pick in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection from the London Jr. Knights Minor Midgets.
