Monday Highlights: Petes feast on Thanksgiving

 

PETERBOROUGH 4, NORTH BAY 1
The Peterborough Petes racked up 45 shots on goal and won 50 of the game’s 69 faceoffs, defeating the North Bay Battalion 4-1 in a Thanksgiving Monday matinee. The road win featured goals from Chad Denault (3), Pavel Gogolev (2), Adam Timleck (1) and Semyon Der-Arguchintsev (1) while goaltender Hunter Jones made 32 saves. Brad Chenier (1) was the lone goal-scorer for North Bay as the Troops were outshot 45-33. Nick Isaacson picked up two assist for the Petes who climb to 5-2 atop the East Division. The Battalion fall to 2-5 as goaltender Christian Propp stopped 41 of 45 in the loss.
