OHL News – Radio Edition with host Terry Doyle and presented by Bauer continues for the 2017-18 regular season bringing fans insight from feature guests as well as news and notes from around the league each and every week over the airwaves.
This week’s segment features St. Louis Blues prospect Jordan Kyrou of the Sarnia Sting who recently returned from the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship where he helped Canada capture gold.
The 19-year-old from Toronto, Ont., was one of eight OHL players to win gold in Buffalo. Since his return to Sarnia, the Sting captain has two goals and five assists for seven points through three games with the club entering weekend action on a five-game win-streak. Overall this season Kyrou is third in OHL scoring with 65 points in 33 games including 21 goals and 44 assists. Originally chosen by the Sting in the second round of the 2014 OHL Priority Selection, Kyrou was a second round pick by the Blues in the 2016 NHL Draft.
Kyrou chats with Doyle about his experience with Team Canada, celebrating gold with family and friends, enduring the cold in his first outdoor game, and adjusting to life back in the OHL as the Sting gear up for an exciting playoff push.
