OHL News – Radio Edition for Mar 23/18

OHL News – Radio Edition with host Terry Doyle and presented by Bauer continues for the 2017-18 regular season bringing fans insight from feature guests as well as news and notes from around the league each and every week over the airwaves.

This week’s segment features longtime Guelph Storm radio play-by-play voice Larry Mellott who provides a first round preview of the Ontario Hockey League Playoffs.

The seventh seeded Storm finished the regular season with 69 points and open post-season action on the road Friday night against their highway seven rivals the Kitchener Rangers who finished atop the Midwest Division with 90 points.  The Rangers got the best of the Storm this season winning five of their eight matchups.  This marks the fourth time the clubs will meet in OHL playoff history and first time since 2013 when Kitchener won the series 4-1.

Mellott chats with Doyle about what it means to have a first round matchup between two geographic rivals, some players to watch in the series, as well as some other teams around the league to keep an eye on as playoff action gets underway.
