OHL News – Radio Edition with host Terry Doyle and presented by Warrior Hockey returns for the 2017-18 regular season bringing fans insight from feature guests as well as news and notes from around the league each and every week over the airwaves.

This week’s segment features Los Angeles Kings prospect Matthew Villalta of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds who enters the weekend with a 6-1-1-0 record and is among the league leaders with a goals-against-average of 2.23 and save percentage of .924.

The 18-year-old from Godfrey, Ont., is playing in his second OHL season after committing to the Greyhounds as a free agent prior to the 2016-17 campaign.  He was named to the OHL’s second All-Rookie team and established a new franchise single season record with a 2.41 goals-against-average.  His play earned him a third round selection by the Kings at the 2017 NHL Draft.

Villalta chats with Doyle about his NHL Draft selection, experiencing California life during Development Camp, and of course the start to the 2017-18 season where the Hounds have had success in overtime games thus far in a season where expectations are high in Sault Ste. Marie.
