This week’s segment features goaltender Kaden Fulcher of the Hamilton Bulldogs who officially became a member of the Detroit Red Wings organization on Tuesday signing an entry-level contract after being a free agent invite to July’s summer development camp along with rookie and main camps in September.
The recently turned 19-year-old from Brigden, Ont., is playing in his third OHL season after being a 13th round pick by Sarnia in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection. So far through two weeks of 2017-18 action he carries a 2-1-0-1 record with one shutout, a goals-against-average of 1.92, and save percentage of .935.
Fulcher chats with Doyle about his experiences with the Red Wings during the summer and early fall leading up to the signing of his professional contract, the competitive East Division and the Bulldogs play in the early stages of the season, and a look ahead to this weekend’s action which features a return to Sarnia on Thanksgiving Monday to play his former team with plenty of friends and family in attendance.
