The Ontario Hockey League would like to congratulate referee Darcy Burchell who has been assigned the Gold Medal Final of the 2011 IIHF Men's World Championship between Sweden and Finland.

The game can be seen on TSN Sunday afternoon at 4:30 pm Eastern. 

This will be Burchell's eighth game of the tournament having also skated in Friday's Semi-Final contest between Sweden and the Czech Republic. 

Burchell, a Hamilton, ON, native and level VI official just completed his eighth OHL season and is one of three officials representing Hockey Canada at this event.  He will work the Gold Medal Final alongside Canadian linesmen Chris Carlson and Kiel Murchison. 

The Hockey Canada Officiating Program (HCOP) is for anyone interested in officiating the game of hockey, from beginners to seasoned veterans. There are six levels in the HCOP, from those looking to get started to the top tier of officials.
