OHL to host 5th annual OHL Gold Cup High Performance Officiating Camp

The Ontario Hockey League will be hosting its 5th annual OHL Gold Cup High Performance Officiating Exposure Camp from May 3-7 to enhance the development and performance of the top officiating prospects in Ontario.

This camp will be an opportunity for officials to showcase their skills and abilities to members of the OHL Officiating Department. A total of 20 officials out of over 80 applications have been selected to participate.

This camp offers officials a significant opportunity to demonstrate their abilities. Top participants will be selected to attend the OHL Officiating Training Camp in August and be given the opportunity to compete for a spot on the OHL Officiating Team.

Out of the past fourĀ camps, the OHL has promoted 27 officials to the OHL Officiating Team.

The 2017 OHL Gold Cup will take place at the Activa Sportsplex in Kitchener, ON from May 3-7 and featuresĀ 132 players chosen in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection. Rosters also include 19 of the 21 players selected in the first round of the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.
