Robertson Cup within reach in Game 6 on Sportsnet 360

The Hamilton Bulldogs held on for a 6-4 road win in Game 5 on Friday, setting themselves up for a chance to hoist the Robertson Cup before what’s sure to be a big crowd at FirstOntario Centre this afternoon.

Game 6 of the Rogers OHL Championship Series comes to Sportsnet 360 as a RJ Broadhead and Sam Cosentino provide the call live from Hamilton as the Bulldogs carry a 3-2 series lead into today’s 2:00pm start.

The Bulldogs managed to bounce back from a 3-2 overtime loss on Sportsnet 360 in Game 4 Wednesday night as star centreman Robert Thomas scored twice and Brandon Saigeon had a goal and two helpers in a 6-4 Friday night victory.

While a win would send the Bulldogs to the 2018 Mastercard Memorial Cup in Regina, the visiting Soo Greyhounds look to keep their memorable season alive, one that went down as the most successful regular season in franchise history.

Greyhounds forward Taylor Raddysh became the OHL’s new all-time playoff games played leader on Friday and enters today’s action on a nine-game point streak. Teammate Tim Gettinger also has points in five consecutive matchups.

For Hamilton, rookie winger Arthur Kaliyev enters play on a four-game trend while forward Nicholas Caamano has scored in three straight games.

Fast starts have been a theme in this series, with a lead being established in the opening five minutes of four of the five games played so far.

The Robertson Cup will be in the building this afternoon. Be sure to catch the action across the country on Sportsnet 360 or watch live online at OHLLIVE.com when the puck drops at 2:00pm.
