Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour kicks off in Kitchener
The fifth annual edition of the Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour gets underway in Kitchener this weekend as hosts Ron MacLean and Tara Slone got things started with the ceremonial faceoff prior to the Rangers’ Friday night home game against the Saginaw Spirit.
After Kitchener’s 50th Oktoberfest celebration got underway with the tapping of the keg on Friday afternoon, the Rangers got in the festive spirit with specially-themed Oktoberfest jerseys for their Friday night tilt, threads that will be auctioned off post-game with proceeds going to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
