Top Pick Robert Fabbri Commits to Storm

The Guelph Storm Hockey Club announced today that Robby Fabbri, the team’s 1st round pick in 2012, has signed an Ontario Hockey League contract with the team.

The Mississauga native had 57 goals and 48 assists for 105 points playing Minor Midget AAA with the Mississauga Rebels last season. At 5’10 and 155 pounds, Fabbri led the club in goals and points.

Captain of the 2010-11 Rebels squad, Fabbri helped his team to a perfect 7-0 record in the OHL Cup where they captured the championship. The 16-year old paced the Rebels in tournament scoring with eight points including four goals and four assists.

“Robby brings his world class passion, speed and skill to the rink each and every night.  His enthusiasm and ability rubs off on his teammates and makes everyone around him more accountable and better players.” Storm Vice President and GM Mike Kelly said, “Robbie is well suited to play the up tempo, entertaining style of play that will be a huge part of the Storm’s future success.  We wish to officially welcome Robby and his family to the Storm family.”

Fabbri will join the rest of the Storm when training camp opens at the Sleeman Centre in late August.
