1ST STAR: DAMIEN GIROUX (SAGINAW SPIRIT):
Minnesota Wild prospect Damien Giroux’s first OHL hat-trick also came on a career-high five point night as the Saginaw Spirit won their fourth straight contest. The Spirit fell behind 2-0 in the first period but battled back, with Giroux scoring the game winner 5:39 into the third period before tacking on insurance five minutes later. He completed the hat-trick with eight minutes to go in the third while also adding assists on goals by Bode Wilde and Blade Jenkins. Giroux brings his season total to nine points (5-4–9). He was Minnesota’s fifth round pick this past summer.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS

2ND STAR: JUSTIN MURRAY (BARRIE COLTS):
Barrie Colts captain Justin Murray capped off his first OHL multi-goal game with the overtime winner, helping his club get past visiting Niagara 6-5. Murray struck on a first period power play, picked up assists on goals by Aidan Brown and Peter Fleming, and got help from Sam Rhodes and Lucas Chiodo to score the decisive marker. The 20-year-old from London, Ont. has seven points (3-4–7) through his first nine games in his fourth OHL season.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS

3RD STAR: RILEY DAMIANI (KITCHENER RANGERS):
Dallas Stars prospect Riley Damiani helped the Kitchener Rangers break through on the road in Flint, scoring twice and adding an assist in a 6-3 victory. Damiani broke up a 3-3 tie with 7:42 remaining in the third period for the game winner before scoring again with 2:57 left on the clock. He picked up an assist on a power play goal by Jonathan Yantsis to help the Rangers reverse consecutive losses and improve to 5-1-2-0. The Mississauga, Ont. native has nine points (5-4–9) this season. He was Dallas’ fifth round pick this past summer.
