WINDSOR 8 – KITCHENER 5
OHL goal-scoring leader Aaron Luchuk (24, 25, 26) and Florida Panthers prospect Adam Mascherin (17, 18, 19) accounted for six of the 13 goals scored Tuesday night as the Windsor Spitfires defeated the Kitchener Rangers 8-5 on the road. The Spitfires grabbed a 4-0 lead in the opening half of the first period before Kitchener made a game of things, getting a Teddy Bear Toss goal off the stick of Mascherin at 15:24. Windsor’s Luke Boka (5, 6) would score the second period game winner while Jake Smith (6), Lev Starikov (2) and Daniel D’Amico (3) also had Spitfires goals. Windsor won without the services of both Logan Brown and Sean Day as goaltender Michael DiPietro made 38 saves on the night. Cole Carter (6) and Adam Liska (7) joined Mascherin as goal scorers for the Rangers. The Spits win for the fourth time in the past five games, improving to 16-10-2-0.
