Tuesday Highlights: Storm’s third period surge nets 20th win

Down 3-2, the Guelph Storm surged for five third period goals to defeat the London Knights 7-5 at Budweiser Gardens. Guelph’s 20th win of the season featured a pair of goals from London native Isaac Ratcliffe (24, 25) along with two from Arizona Coyotes prospect Nate Schnarr (21, 22) while Cedric Ralph (12) chipped in with a goal and two assists. Domenico Commisso (3) and Ty Collins (3) also scored for the Storm while Anthony Popovich earned the victory with a 26-save effort. Newcomers Markus Phillips, Fedor Gordeev and MacKenzie Entwistle all earned their first points in a Storm jersey with assists. London’s second straight home loss included goals from William Lochead (5), Cole Tymkin (17), Adam Boqvist (10), Nathan Dunkley (18) and Sahil Panwar (4) while Jacob Golden, Paul Cotter and Kevin Hancock each had two assists. The Knights continue to lead the second place Storm by 10 points in the Midwest Division with a record of 26-6-4-1. The 20-12-3-4 Storm have taken two of three from the Knights so far this season.
