(Series tied 2-2)

Los Angeles Kings prospect Gabriel Vilardi (8, 9) pulled into the OHL Playoff scoring lead, scoring a pair of goals to help the Kingston Frontenacs knot their series up at two with the visiting Barrie Colts after a 4-2 victory. Linus Nyman (6) broke open a 2-2 tie with 2:03 left in the second period, putting the Frontenacs ahead for good before Cliff Pu (3) hit the open net in the dying seconds of the third period. Nyman finished the night with a goal and two assists while goaltender Jeremy Helvig turned aside 30 shots to earn the win. Barrie’s Leo Lazarev provided a handful of highlight reel saves to keep his team in the game, turning away 32 shots in the loss. Lucas Chiodo (5) and Dmitry Sokolov (8) both scored for Barrie while Andrei Svechnikov assisted on both goals. The Colts pressed hard in the third, outshooting Kingston 15-9 but couldn’t make up the difference as the series returns to Barrie for Game 5 on Thursday tied up at two.

The Sarnia Sting climbed into a 2-1 series lead at home in Game 3, defeating the Kitchener Rangers 4-1 as Sean Josling (5) continued his productive playoff with a goal and two assists. Franco Sproviero (3, 4) scored twice while Jonathan Ang (2) also tallied and goaltender Justin Fazio stopped 26 of 27 shots. Joseph Garreffa (7) spoiled Fazio’s shutout bid 8:19 into the third period as the Rangers were held to one goal and now trail the Sting after winning Game 1 at The Aud. The series continues on Thursday night in Sarnia.
