Wednesday Highlights: Vilardi continues torrid pace

Los Angeles Kings prospect Gabriel Vilardi (9, 10, 11) netted a first period hat-trick, helping guide the Kingston Frontenacs to a 5-3 win in Oshawa. Vilardi has recorded 31 points over 15 games since joining the Fronts in early January and continued his scoring ways on Wednesday to help his club earn a sixth straight win. Finnish forward Linus Nyman (28) finished the night with a goal and three assists while Brett Neumann (16) also lit the lamp. Kingston outshot Oshawa 32-24, improving to 28-16-4-3, nine points back of first place Hamilton in the East Division. Danil Antropov (8), Domenico Commisso (17) and Matt Brassard (14) responded with Oshawa goals as the Generals fell to 25-24-3-0. The Frontenacs have won five of their six meetings against Oshawa this season with two remaining matchups left on the schedule.
