This week on OHL News - Radio Edition we hear from Hockey Canada's Head Scout Al Murray as he discusses some of the OHL players that were named to Team Canada's Selection Camp Roster and how the 2009 SUBWAY Super Series played a role in the evaluation process for the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships taking place this winter in Saskatoon and Regina, SK. The selection camp opens next Saturday December 12, 2009, in Regina and features 12 OHL players.
We also hear from the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week Ryan Spooner of the Peterborough Petes as he discusses his latest on-ice success and the Petes' latest road-trip. Spooner, a 17-year-old from Kanata, ON, enters the weekend ranked ninth in OHL scoring with 40 points in 30 games and is eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
