Ritchie Commits To Sting

Sarnia, ON – Sarnia Sting Head Coach and General Manager Dave MacQueen announced Monday that the Sarnia Sting have agreed to terms with first round selection Brett Ritchie.

“We are extremely pleased to have a commitment from Brett and his family to the Sarnia Sting and the Ontario Hockey League.  We feel Brett is a pro-caliber player with a bright future in hockey.  As well in signing this agreement should he chose an alternate route he now has an educational needs looked after.  We look forward to developing Brett both as a hockey player and as an individual during his time with the Sarnia Sting.”

Ritchie is a Right-Winger who played with the Toronto Marlboros Minor Midgets this season.

The native of Orangeville, who won’t turn 16 until July 1st stands 6 feet 3 inches and weighs 190 pounds.

Last season with the Marlboros Ritchie scored 36 goals and 33 assists for 69 points.
