The OMHA's York Simcoe Express had three players drafted in the first round of the 2009 OHL Priority Selection including the first overall pick forward Daniel Catenacci to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, defenceman Ryan Murphy was chosen third overall by the Kitchener Rangers, and forward Barclay Goodrow went 17th to the Brampton Battalion.

So far each player is contributing regularly to their OHL club and each have scored their first career goals, with Catenacci recording 10 points through the first 17 games of the season, Murphy has seven points through 15 games, and Goodrow has four points in 15 games.
