The Peterborough Petes continued their winning ways, winning their fourth straight game to improve to 8-2 as Nick Isaacson’s (4, 5) first of the night was the third period game winner. The Petes topped the visiting Windsor Spitfires 4-2 as Chris Paquette (7) added a goal and an assist while Erik Cermak (1) scored the first of his OHL career. Hunter Jones was steady in the crease once again, turning aside 34 shots while the Petes got a pair of assists from Winnipeg Jets prospect Declan Chisholm. Veteran winger Cole Purboo (4, 5) provided both Windsor goals in front of rookie goaltender Kari Piiroinen who made 23 saves in defeat. Windsor outshot Peterborough 36-27. The Spitfires see their record drop to 3-5 following their third straight loss.
