Calvin Martin (4) and Ryan McGregor (5) each had a goal and an assist as the Sarnia Sting doubled-up visiting Flint 4-2. Rookie netminder Ethan Langevin made 28 saves, helping the Sting claim victory despite being outshot 30-24. Kelton Hatcher (1) scored his first OHL goal while Franco Sproviero (4) scored the eventual game winner 5:35 into the third period. Jack Wismer (2) and Jacob Winterton (5) scored for the Firebirds who fell to 0-12-0-0. Rookie defender Vladislav Kolyachonok made his Firebirds debut in the loss while newly named head coach Eric Wellwood stepped behind the bench for the first time. The Sting shake a three-game slide, improving to 5-6-1-0.
