A fast-paced, high-shooting affair saw the Peterborough Petes outgun the visiting Flint Firebirds 3-1 as the two clubs combined for 97 shots on goal. Logan DeNoble (3), Adam Timleck (2) and Jonathan Ang (4) all had goals for Peterborough while Nikita Korostelev recorded an assist in his season debut. Edmonton Oilers prospect Dylan Wells turned aside 46 of a Flint Firebirds record 47 shots sent his way, surrendering the lone marker off a redirection by Jake Durham (2). The Petes sent 50 shots the way of Flint’s Garrett Forrest as the overage goaltender stopped 47 on the night.
