The Soo Greyhounds overcame a late deficit to claim a 4-3 overtime win in Windsor as New York Rangers prospect Tim Gettinger (4) scored the game winner 1:58 into the extra frame. Tampa Bay Lightning second rounder Boris Katchouk (6) tied the score at three with 3:11 remaining in the third frame, setting the stage for Gettinger to come down his off-wing and snap a quick release past the blocker of Windsor’s Michael DiPietro. The Hounds improve to 4-1-1-0 as Katchouk (5, 6) scored twice on the night while Barrett Hayton (3) had a goal and an assist and Mac Hollowell recorded a pair of helpers in his season debut. The Greyhounds outshot the Spitfires 38-23 as DiPietro made 34 saves in the loss. Veteran captain Aaron Luchuk (4, 5) scored twice while rookie Mathew MacDougall (2) scored in the third period as the Spits now sit at 3-1-1-0.
