The London Knights are no stranger to late picks.
For the sixth straight season the Midwest Division power waited until number 17 or later before getting the green light at the annual OHL Priority Selection.
In 2017 the Knights draft class is headlined by Lucas Rowe, chosen 18th overall, following a championship season where the centre captured a pair of coveted minor midget crowns including an OHL Cup title with his Mississauga Reps then a Gold Cup win with GTHL Red.
From forward to defense, the green and gold chose Andrew Perrott of Detroit Honeybaked with their second round pick, 34th overall, to help solidify the back end.
Rowe and Perrott have both officially committed to the Knights with hopes of being key figures in the team’s next push for playoff supremacy.
Rowe will represent the Knights at Hockey Canada’s National Men’s Summer Under-17 Selection Camp in Calgary on July 22nd.
