For the first time in Owen Sound Attack history the club’s first choice in the Priority Selection came from Hockey Eastern Ontario.

Welcome Nolan Seed, a defenceman from Newboro, Ont., who played last season with the Smith Falls Bears where he recorded 25 points in 41 games against Midget AAA competition and even stepped up against Junior opponents for five games in the CCHL.

The 15th overall pick was named the Top Defenceman in the HEO Midget AAA circuit last season, represented the league at the 2018 OHL Gold Cup, and should make an immediate impact with the Attack in the Midwest Division.

Seed officially announced his commitment to play in Owen Sound in June at the team’s annual awards ceremony and bbq festivities.

Next up for Seed is Hockey Canada’s National Men’s Summer Under-17 Development Camp from July 21-27 in Calgary where he will compete along with the club’s second round pick Josh Barnes.

Barnes was chosen 24th overall from the Cornwall Colts and was named HEO Player of the Year with 52 points in 39 games played.
