Cole Perfetti scored twice in his OHL debut as the Saginaw Spirit defeated the defending Western Conference champion Soo Greyhounds by a score of 5-2 in their home opener. Mason Millman also potted his first in the OHL while Aidan Prueter and Albert Michnac added singles. Saginaw netminder Cameron Lamour turned aside 23 shots as the Spirit outshot the Greyhounds 43-25 and went 2-for-4 on the power play. Ryan O’Rourke came up with a goal in his OHL debut for Sault Ste. Marie while fellow rearguard Holden Wale also scored.
