Dallas Stars prospect Jason Robertson (1, 2) made Opening Night at the Rogers K-Rock Centre one to remember, tying the score with eight minutes to go in the third period before netting the overtime winner in a 3-2 win over the defending OHL champion Erie Otters. Linus Nyman picked up assists on both Robertson goals, feeding the big winger barreling down the middle for the game winner as he beat Erie’s Troy Timpano through the five-hole 1:32 into the extra frame. 2017 first round pick Cody Morgan’s (1) first OHL goal was the Frontenacs’ first of the season. Rookie defenceman Evan Brand and forward Bryan Laureigh each collected their first OHL points with assists on the goal. Both Erie goals came from overage defenceman Owen Headrick (1, 2) while Taylor Raddysh picked up a pair of assists. Carolina Hurricanes prospect Jeremy Helvig made 28 saves in goal for the Frontenacs.
