Connor Schlichting (1) tied the score with 7:31 left in the third period before the game spilled over into a shootout where Drake Rymsha and Anthony Salinitri sealed the deal for Sarnia. The Sting defeated the Guelph Storm 4-3 on the road as overage goaltender Justin Fazio turned in a 32-save performance. Rymsha (1) and Salinitri (1) each provided goals in regulation while Calgary Flames prospect Adam Ruzicka collected a pair of assists. The Sting won despite being outshot 35-24. St. Louis Blues prospect Alexey Toropchenko (1) scored his first OHL goal and picked up an assist while Liam Hawel (1) and Ryan Merkley (1) also found the scoresheet. The Sting managed to hold the Storm to just 1-for-9 on the power play.
