The Sudbury Wolves scored five unanswered goals to come back and defeat the Oshawa Generals 5-2 in their home opener. Quinton Byfield (2) scored the power play game winner with five seconds left in the second period while Buffalo Sabres prospect Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 23 saves to get the win in his OHL debut. Jack Thompson (1) scored his first OHL goal while Shane Bulitka (2), Kirill Nizhnikov (1) and David Levin (2) also got in on the offence. Bulitka finished the night with a goal and three assists to lead all producers. Jack Studnicka (1) and Kyle MacLean (1) were Oshawa goal-scorers. Both clubs went 2-for-7 on the power play.
