The Niagara IceDogs were victorious in their home opener as Kyle Langdon (1) scored the game winner 2:36 into the third period on a rebound in the slot. The Dogs triumphed over the Erie Otters as Danial Singer (1), Akil Thomas (1) and Oliver Castleman (2) also got in on the scoring while goaltender Stephen Dhillon made 25 saves. Niagara held Erie to an 0-for-7 night on the man advantage as veteran Kyle Maksimovich (2) provided the lone Otters goal. Niagara improves to 2-0-0-0 while Erie sits at 1-2-1-0.
