St. Louis Blues prospect Alexey Toropchenko (2, 3) scored a pair of third period goals less than three minutes apart to give the Guelph Storm enough steam to outlast the visiting Oshawa Generals for their first victory. The Storm prevailed 5-4 as Garrett McFadden (1), Liam Stevens (1) and Philadelphia Flyers prospect Isaac Ratcliffe (1) also found the back of the net while Ryan Merkley picked up two assists. Anthony Popovich made 36 saves in the Guelph crease as the Generals had a pair of goals from both Nick Wong (4, 5) and Danil Antropov (2, 3). The Guelph power play went 2-for-4 as they came out on top despite being outshot 40-22.
