The Peterborough Petes saw their perfect start come to an abrupt end as the defending OHL champion Hamilton Bulldogs skated to a 7-1 road win. 2019 NHL Draft prospect Arthur Kaliyev (4, 5) scored twice, converting on a last first period penalty shot while also adding two assists for a four-point night. Liam Stevens (1, 2) scored his first two goals as a Bulldog while Tim Fleischer (1), Matthew Strome (1) and Isaac Nurse (2) also got in on the action. Kade Landry, Logan Morrison and Brandon Saigeon all finished with two assists while netminder Nick Donofrio stopped 24 of 25. Rookie forward Cameron Butler (2) picked up Peterborough’s lone marker on the power play. The Bulldogs improve to 2-1 and the Petes fall to 3-1.
