Calgary Flames prospect Adam Ruzicka (1, 2) scored twice and added an assist and newly appointed captain Jordan Kyrou had three assists in his return from St. Louis Blues training camp as the Sarnia Sting defeated visiting Kingston 6-2. The Frontenacs opened up a 2-0 lead inside the opening three minutes of action as Jacob Paquette (1) scored on a point blast and Cal Davis (1) scored his first OHL goal. The Sting proceeded to score six unanswered goals as Hugo Leufvenius (1, 2), Drake Rymsha (2) and Jordan Ernst (2) found the scoresheet. Rymsha finished the night with a goal and two assists while Philadelphia Flyers prospect Anthony Salinitri picked up two helpers. The Sting outshot the Frontenacs 41-32 and went 2-for-6 on the power play. The loss is Kingston’s first as they drop to 3-1-0-0 on the season while Sarnia improves to 2-1-0-0.
